Analyze cell movements in time lapse series and determine distance, velocity and direction of the covered distance.

| The Tracking module is integrated into AxioVision directly as an application, therefore expanding its functionality to include cell movement analysis or other moving objects. The individual processing steps are integrated into a clearly presented dialogue, offering the user intuitive operation: from selecting the tracking method and marking tracked cells in the image to displaying measurement results. |
 | | Position of point at start of time lapse |
| The movements of cells or other moving objects can be suitably tracked in time lapse sequences using the AxioVision Tracking module, which allows both automatic and interactive tracking.
For the automatic tracking method, the cell is selected with a click of the mouse and its movement within the time lapse sequence is tracked automatically right through the end point. |
 | | Position of point at end of time lapse |
| If images are weak in contrast it is a good idea to use the interactive tracking method. Here, the movement of a cell or another object, or the path it has travelled, is tracked by clicking in each time point of the image sequence. If a cell moves very slowly you can skip time points between the individual mouse clicks. |
