| The Multiphase module is integrated directly into AxioVision as an application, therefore expanding its functionality to include multiphase analysis. The user is guided through the process step by step: from detecting the various phases and measuring to archiving and preparing reports. |

| A quantitative measurement requires firstly, the detection of the various phases and secondly, the classification of the detected particles according to a chosen measurement parameter, such as size shape or orientation. Image analysis covers all the demands placed on multiphase analysis and offers numerous advantages with its precise measurement and high sample throughput. |

| For analyzing multiphase samples, the Multiphase module gives you the option of using black/white images or colour images to detect any number of phases.
There is a choice of measurement parameters that you can use for classification and measurement, such as area, diameter, circumference, roundness, volume and grey value. |

| Multiphase analysis is of use in both bio-medicine and materials science in fields requiring the classification of particles.
