Huge Success - Dowload the Video

The webinar (live seminar transmitted via the Internet)  Confocal Microscopy in New Light was held on Thursday, May 14th 2009. In cooperation with Andrew Dixon, a leading expert in the field of confocal microscopy, users of the University of Applied Sciences Aalen, Germany and the journal, Materials Today. Four experts explained how confocal microscopy works, what its advantages compared to alternative methods are and what its applications in research, industrial routine and quality inspection are. The webinar was aimed at researchers interested in 3D or confocal microscopy as well as engineers in R&D. The content was also customized for participants working in quality control, especially in the solar and printing industries, at automotive suppliers, in the area of surface processing of metals / glasses / polymers and researchers interested in materials characterisation and nanomaterials. Participants could learn the advantages of confocal microscopy over similar techniques as well as how it is possible to measure with more than 100 frames per second and analyse these results in the nanometre range.
